How to access Crown Market, step by measured step
A practical procession for anyone who has never opened Crown. Six steps, no jargon, and a clear stopping point at each one.
This is a working procedure. It presumes only that you can install software. Every step carries a stopping point. If you cannot complete a step, pause and read the matching deep-dive page rather than improvising.
Step 1. Install Tor Browser.
Take it directly from torproject.org and verify the signature. Do not install a third-party Tor wrapper, and do not substitute a clearnet VPN.
Step 2. Set the security slider to Safest.
Click the shield, choose Safest. The Crown storefront works without JavaScript, so this costs you nothing.
Step 3. Bookmark this register.
Bookmark this page, not an onion address. The mirror register here renews on rotation; a bookmarked onion eventually leaves the live set.
Step 4. Copy a mirror.
The Crown profile publishes three mirrors. Copy the Primary, paste it into Tor Browser, and wait for the page. Should a challenge page appear, complete it.
Step 5. Create your account.
Choose a username and password you have used nowhere else, and commit both to a password manager. Enable two-factor login the moment you are inside.
Step 6. Fund in Bitcoin or Monero.
Crown accepts both coins. The deposit screen presents a fresh address for whichever you choose. Send from a Bitcoin or Monero wallet you control. The deposits guide covers wallet selection and how to confirm the deposit has posted.
